The Stinky Fisherman Fantasy Football Ownership Manual
The handbook for running the Lig: origin story, governance, rules, format, dues, payouts, punishments, and the walls of glory & shame.
The Beginning
SECTION: BEGINNINGRead the origin
The Stinky Fisherman Fantasy Football League (“SFFFL”, “Lig”) was established in the year 2015. Born from humble beginnings in Philadelphia, it was an idea, a vision, a way for some pals to continue their camaraderie built in debauchery at St. Joseph’s University. As the group started to navigate the seas of life, it became clear the winds would carry them down varying routes, but they endeavored for a North Star, one that would always guide them back to one another. Thus, the Stinky Fisherman Fantasy Football League was born. The North Star which unites us all, bonds us for life, and provides the outlet to re-live, remember, and continue to the debachucherous activity of many years past.
History
SECTION: HISTORYRead the league history
The Redraft Years
The Lig began as a mere redraft structure, the same as any Tom, Dick, or Harry could create on Yahoo. Amongst the group, they selected a captain, a leader to guide them through this new adventure, and one man was the clear choice: Fichard Rini (“Commish”). A noble and servant leader, Commish got to work, working tirelessly to build the inaugural season, a draft which would take hours, starting from nothing. The boys were young, naive, just looking for a good time, and went with the first thing that caught their eye. It was a serviceable format which continued to be enhanced via keepers and other methods. This framework survived until the year 2021 but ultimately, many were calling for more. The Redraft years are remembered fondly, engagement was high, punishments were harsh, drafts were an excuse to tie a load on with the boys, and only one sailor was lost during these foundational years, Ernest DiSandro (may the wind always be at his back).
The Dynasty Vote
The desire for more led to one of the most contentious times in Lig history. A division, a fracture, a tale of two opposing sides. One lobbying to move the SFFFL forward into an era of dynasty, the other clamoring for the days of old. The debates were fiery, lobbying was fierce, and polling research continued to show mixed results as voters were swayed. When it came to the final vote, the dynasty contingent had whipped enough votes and the Lig was reshaped forever. The tough times did not end with that vote, as the group needed to fully understand the new format, the strategies, the operating procedures, but with time the SFFFL reached calm waters yet again, and the rest is history as the dynasty reigns to this day.

the following criteria(s) is/are met:

- Wives, not cool bro, we all choose our people, if your boy is happy then you should be happy for them. All bets are off if there is a divorce

- Failure to adhere to punishment protocols will result in $750 Fine for a first offense, and expulsion from the Lig upon a second offense.
- Trades: All trades will have a 2 day review period before being auto-approved. Trades shall generally be approved unless there is determination that lig integrity will be compromised. This review is at the discretion of the commissioner in consultation with the council.
-

-
Motion for resignation (owner integrity): All owners reserve the right to motion for resignation of another owner if lig integrity is at question.
